Armoury+: The Comprehensive Suite of 6 Professional Systems for Software Testing

In the software industry, you’ve likely heard of numerous commercial systems like Jira, Figma, Miro, Monday, and Asana. However, these systems primarily focus on product design and project management, with minimal impact on software testing efficiency. As a software professional, how many systems dedicated to software testing can you name? Perhaps TestRail, TestLink, Zephyr for Jira, or Azure DevOps come to mind. But have you noticed that these systems only address test case management, leaving other testing needs like API testing, API monitoring, and test automation unresolved?

Enter Armoury+: A Professional System Tailored for Software Testing

Armoury+ is a comprehensive suite designed specifically for software testing. We continuously develop new tools and systems to address the challenges faced in software testing. Additionally, we’re building a software testing alliance to create an ecosystem for the software testing industry.

The 6 Professional Systems within Armoury+

Test Case Management

At its core, Armoury+ offers a robust test case management system. Like most systems in the market, it allows for designing, categorizing, and organizing test cases for easy future access and use. However, Armoury+ goes beyond by providing additional features such as a tagging system, test case version control, and built-in reports, enabling test managers to better control the testing progress.

Test Case Execution

When it’s time to execute test cases, Armoury+ treats each execution run as a checklist. You can mark the result for each completed test case. But Armoury+ doesn’t stop there – your testing work becomes part of the product’s version history, aiding in decision-making. For instance, when a test fails, you can review past test results to identify patterns, such as frequently failing functionalities or recurring causes of failure.

Real-time test progress reports allow managers to estimate progress and assess team member performance daily, facilitating dynamic workload adjustments for team balance.

API Client

API testing is a specialized area of software testing. Unlike creating test cases, API testing requires a deeper understanding of the product’s technical aspects and API principles. Armoury+ features a built-in API Client, allowing test engineers to send API requests directly within the system without switching to external tools.

While most API testing tools in the market require significant coding, Armoury+ offers an assertion tool for JSON-format API responses. Test engineers can define assertions, check HTTP codes, and measure response times through simple copy-and-paste operations.

API Monitor

Each API design represents the intelligence and effort of test engineers. Like test cases, every test combination is meaningful. The API Monitor ensures that each API is used purposefully, conducting regular system monitoring to ensure that backend deployments don’t affect users and to detect issues promptly without manual test triggering.

The API Monitor provides real-time notifications. When an API execution fails during monitoring, team members are immediately notified, with a maximum of three emails for consecutive errors. When the system returns to normal, a test-passed email is sent. Armoury+ can serve as a customizable IT monitoring tool for the testing department.

Project Management

Why does the testing team need its own project management system instead of using a company-wide one? Common scenarios include:

  1. The testing team lacks authority to configure the project management system
  2. The management templates in the system don’t meet testing requirements

While shared systems aim to manage project progress, testing projects have diverse objectives: designing test cases, API testing, test automation, and on-site customer testing. Testing tasks differ from software development tasks, and coupled with permission issues, testing teams often need to adapt their processes to fit the system.

Understanding enterprise budget concerns, KEENLITY Armoury+ has partnered with Blue project management system. Users subscribing to specific Armoury+ plans receive unlimited access to Blue during their subscription period.

RPA Web Automator

From our experience with dozens of Taiwanese software companies, 100% build their own automated testing frameworks in-house. This approach not only incurs high maintenance costs but also demands highly skilled personnel, often leading to talent gaps.

Implementing web automation testing can reduce the execution costs of simple, repetitive test cases. However, when the costs of creating and maintaining automation become excessive, it can burden the enterprise. Therefore, having the right tools is crucial for developing automated testing. KEENLITY Armoury+ has partnered with RTILA, a robotic process automation tool. Users subscribing to specific Armoury+ plans receive a certain number of RTILA production licenses during their subscription period.

Conclusion

Armoury+ is an evolving software testing system. We continually listen to user needs, develop various software testing-related features, and seek partnerships with products in related fields. Our goal is to make enterprise investments in software testing affordable rather than exorbitant, providing the most comprehensive system at a reasonable price and enabling software testing teams to maximize their value.
